Quinn started his career in Colleyville where he participated in the North Texas Junior PGA and medaled 10 times. Quinn had an impressive junior record not only locally, but nationally, having been invited to the inaugural international AJGA tournament in Mexico. His college career began with the PGA program at Sam Houston State University where he earned his Class A Players Card his first year. After graduating with a degree in PGA Golf Management, Quinn worked at Houston Country Club for three years as a Golf Professional. Once returning to the area, Quinn worked at some of the top clubs in Texas; Dallas National Golf Club, Vaquero Club, and Wade Hampton Golf Club.
